True North Journeys retraces the untold story of Australian soldiers during World War Two who escaped from Rabaul crossing the Baining mountain range. Guided by experienced Australian guides, True North Journeys takes intimate groups through Rabaul and the jungles of East New Britain on an 11-day journey of discovery. Through set and customised itineraries, TNJ takes visitors on cultural and historical trips of a lifetime. The trek, through remote jungles and villages of the Baining Mountains, incorporates history, culture and ancient rituals, and explores the pristine waters of the Duke of York Islands. It’s a life experience that lets you find your real life. Basic lifestyle, not frills, the real thing…very real. Ultimately, you are finding the meaning in being rather than doing in your life. True North Journeys is a member of the PNG Tourism Association and practices responsible tourism through the employment and support of local PNG staff.
